Foreign Missions General Support
These are wonderful days to be alive, and by His mercy, to be holders of the grand truths of the doctrines of grace, and to be in the service of the King. Having received so much, it is our pleasure to share with others around the world the good news of repentance for the forgiveness of sins through Him. May we never tire of preaching Jesus Christ to the nations!
Early on, the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, in obedience to her Master’s command, established the Committee on Foreign Missions to oversee and conduct the work of foreign missions on behalf of the young church. The goal of the work on each of our fully operational foreign mission fields remains the same today:
The establishment of a healthy indigenous national church :
- That is firmly and fully committed to the Reformed standards
- That is self-supporting, self-governing, and self-propagating
- With whom the OPC may have fraternal relations
- That is itself sending out foreign missionaries to other nations
- Which no longer needs the services of OP foreign missionaries
